BNP and Redwatch Part II

After local BNP organiser Clive Jefferson placed pictures on his blog of anti-racism leafleters going about their business distributing leaflets which they are completely legally entitled to do in order to intimidate them he allowed comments on his blog (the honour he only allows to commenter's not criticising him or his politics) suggesting that the pictures be added onto neo-Nazi online hit list Redwatch. The BNP claim to have no links with Redwatch and have in the past said that any member of the BNP found to be involved in the site would be expelled from the party.

Well surprise surprise, the photographs, those taken by one Clive Jefferson, were put up on Redwatch on the 2nd May. Redwatch also claim that the BNP won the seat that the anti-racism campaigners were leafleting in but I suppose that if you want facts, don't take them from people who say the holocaust never happened and Tony Blair is the head of an elite paedophile ring.

The fact that Mr. Jefferson was careless enough to publish the photographs when he knew fine well the risks involved to those he'd photographed, especially after commenter's had threatened to pass them onto Redwatch is absolutely damming for a man who has tried his best to rid himself of a shady past see here and here and make himself known as a respectable politician (although that may be a contradiction in terms, especially as far as the BNP's concerned).

Mr. Jefferson is always so keen to report made up claims and rumours to the standards board and police, perhaps he should be the one investigated. After all, Redwatch is a terrorist tool. You don't have to be a Muslim to be a terrorist. Oh, and one last thing. Speaking of terrorists and Muslims, would anyone be able to deny or confirm a rumour from a fairly reliable source that David Copeland aka the London Nailbomber has converted to Islam whilst in prison?

BNP And Redwatch

The link between the BNP and the far right neo-Nazi Internet hit list Redwatch has always been obvious. The BNP have at times used photographs from Redwatch on their site and indeed, the only way Redwatch could have got hold of my e-mail address is from the BNP main site. There is an in depth report on this in Notes From The Borderland issue 8. I'm just here to add a small snippet however.

Clive Jefferson, local fascist only ever allows supportive comments on his blog and deletes any that he doesn't agree with. However, after placing pictures of innocent anti-BNP leafleters in Carlisle simply carrying out their democratic right to leaflet against the BNP Clive has set up his own localised version of Redwatch which is all the more dangerous as vigilante style attacks may be carried out by other local fascists on those who simply disagree with racism.

Cure The Disease, Don't Just Hide The Symptoms

I haven't posted anything on this blog in ages but I'm not going to make excuses why, I just couldn't be arsed but I'll try and make it more frequent.

I'm watching the documentary on immigration on channel 4 and it seems to be another boring liberal piece that says immigrants are shit but they're cheap so it's good and just for the documentary makers to prove they're not racist they get black immigrants to rant about Eastern European immigration. It's fucking stupid.

There is a real problem in this country and all other countries too, but the problem isn't immigration. It can be a problem but it's merely a symptom of the greater disease, capitalism. What the far right offer as a solution, kicking out the immigrants and leaving the system intact is useless. Let me draw you an analogy. If you went the doctors with flu and the doctor gave you cough medicine to get rid of your cough but nothing to deal with the actual illness, you'd be pretty pissed off, especially if there's a cure for it. Immigration, especially economic migration is a symptom of capitalism. To merely remove immigrants will do fuck all for anyone. They'll still be rich and poor, only all white rich and all white poor. To put it simply, things would get worse. The industries that are here at the moment employing a mix of locals and immigrants will simply close due to the lack of cheap labour and like in the case of Maryport fish factory, simply not enough workers, and will move abroad where labour is plentiful and cheap. The shit state we're in now would only get shitter.

There is an alternative though. Workers take their own initiative. A culture of discontent and anger at authority already exists inside the working class, we only have to be more vocal about it. The working classes have never got a thing they haven't taken for themselves. Now's the time to take to the streets and take direct action against the paymasters, not the working class immigrants.

Sick And Heartless

The parents of a heroin addict who died as a result of her addiction are to take legal action against the BNP after they used an image of her dead body in a leaflet that also called heroin addicts "nasty pathetic parasites". The leaflet was an attempt by the BNP to blame the Muslim community for the drugs trade despite the fact that the girl Rachel Whitear was white.

Rachel's parents released the image of their daughters body to remind people the dangers of drug abuse although they never intended it to be used by any political party, never mind the BNP.

To defend this sick and heartless action by the BNP, Simon Darby said, "That image is in the public domain.

"There are legal frameworks saying there is nothing wrong with using a photograph that is in the public domain.

"I have quite a lot of respect for the parents for what they've done, because they've saved people's lives by releasing this picture.

"But no, we have nothing to apologise for. I am not going to...apologise for the truth."

The truth is that the BNP don't have to go as far as the Muslim community to find the drug pushers but merely check over their own membership lists.

Let's hope that the parents of Rachel Whitear get their justice for this selfish and immoral act by the BNP.

Just looking over on the Solidarity scab union website. I noticed a while ago that they've nicked the IWW (my union)'s slogan, One Big Union, but now they're comparing themselves to them. The IWW, the militant left wing direct action fuck shit up etc. union, compared with some tiny group of ex-apartheid and NF members running some bureaucratic union as a front for the BNP with only a handful of members, all apparently fash too. All I can say is cheeky bastards.

The BNP On Class

Only a short post again today, I'm still really busy at the moment.

I was just looking over at local thug and fascist Clive Jefferson's blog as I sometimes do. It's usually good for a laugh, usually how the BNP has triumphed over the liberal left and the communists because they've had a couple of letters printed in the local press. But today he has a review on the newsnight that was on last night that was linked in with the white working class thing they are doing at the moment. I missed it because I was at work but Jefferson's revue is interesting. He goes off on a rant about how we are not equal. I can agree with this, we are obviously not equal, there are people living on the streets, there are un-employed, there are single, working class parents on minimum wage and then there are the likes of Royal family, the over payed MP's, Nick Griffin etc. But what Jefferson seems to be arguing is that there isn't really anything wrong with this. This is part of the core of any fascist party.

Fascism doesn't necessarily have to be racist. The BNP use racism as a means of distracting from the class issue and by spouting off mildly socialist rhetoric, they are able to seem the natural party of the working class but as Jefferson has shown, the BNP have no interest in the working class whatsoever. By using this superficial image of an anti-system party they are also able to steal the platform of any genuine opposition from the left. The enemy of fascism aren't the blacks Asians or Jews. They're just used to make it easier to blame something on that's a result of social divisions. The real enemy of fascism is a class conscious worker.

It seems that the BNP may have changed their image to the representatives of the working class but they haven't changed there beliefs. We only have to look at quotes from ex-senior members of the BNP to see their true feelings to the working class.

Tony Lecomber - "The rich are genetically superior to the poor".
Simon Smith - "I'm no apologist for white working class scum"
- "White working class scum will be swept away by a future BNP government."

The only way to fight against class divides is to fight as one class. Strikes, riots and revolution is the way, not voting for some pompous Nazi thugs.

Fight Back The Bosses

I found this story in yesterdays local paper the News & Star, the headline read of a clothing factory seven miles down the road from where I live in Workington that had closed in July last year. The story, in my eyes, proves the necessity of being unionised.

The clothing factory, Travelling Light, last year sacked its entire workforce after going into administration giving them only 10 minutes notice to pack up and go. Some of the workers had worked there for over 17 years. To make matters worse, when Valerie Pullar, the GMB shop steward at the factory complained to management about not being paid on the 20th June as expected, was told it was merely an administrative error and was told nothing at all about the firm going into administration.

The decision was made to make the move to put the firm into administration after a downturn in business but the management were hopeful that a buyer could be found obviously to save there own skin although unfortunately for them and the workforce, a buyer was not found.

On 11th July 2007, a man and a woman unknown to any of the workers in the factory came into the factory and called all the workers into the canteen where they were told that the firm had ceased trading and had gone into liquidation. They were then instructed they had 10 minutes to collect their redundancy letters, gather personal belongings and leave the premises. Just like that.

Thankfully, a claim brought against the firm by 12 GMB members and 7 Unite members was successful and the firm has been ordered to pay a total of £80k which works out around £2000 each for all 40 so workers at the factory.

The bosses will get away with murder if you let them, the best way to fight back is fighting together, there's safety in numbers, being employed and un-unionised is like driving a car without insurance, you just shouldn't do it.

A story in the News & Star today is that Sealy UK, the UK section of the worlds biggest bed manufacturer and the largest employer in Aspatria, again only seven miles from where I live is to shed between 30 and 40 jobs due to the factory reaching the end of a major contract. The GMB stated that they are shocked by the move and hopefully work is going underway by the GMB who are the largest union at the plant, to fight against these redundancies.

Castro Hands Over Presidency

I haven't blogged in a while for a few reasons. Firstly, I have been extremely busy and still am with coursework and other things and secondly, there hasn't been anything in the news recently that has inspired me to blog about it but I suppose that the news about Fidel Castro finally relinquishing his role as commander in chief of Cuba is a pretty major piece of news and especially for the left.

Cuba, I believe, is wrongly perceived as a beacon of hope for the left. Their anti-imperialist stance, anti-American stance and there top notch health service and good education is often seen by the left as the road towards true Communism and a Marxist stronghold. They seem to overlook however, the complete disregard for any form of democracy and the brutal repression of its people but that's not the point of my post.

Castro has held the position of Commander in Chief since the 1959 revolution and brought himself to the forefront of the world stage during the cold war as a Soviet ally so close to the U.S.A. He was instrumental in the Cuban missile crisis and has survived 5 assassination attempts by the U.S government and also, held back a U.S invasion of the Bay of Pigs. He has inspired many other left wing Latin American presidents such as Hugo Chavez and has done so much else. It can be said, that for the president of such a small country, he has done a lot.

Castro's resignation has the American government rubbing their hands together in glee. This is what they have waited for, for so long. Undoubtedly, the Americans are already putting plans into action of how best to get control of the island that's been such a thorn in their side for so long. George Bush has already said of his intentions in a news conference today in Kigali, Rwanda. The resignation should be.. "The beginning of a democratic transition for the people of Cuba,” Bush has also promised U.S. help. The international community should support,"free and fair elections, and I mean free and I mean fair, not these kinds of staged elections that the Castro brothers try to foist off." Perhaps Mr. Bush has already forgotten of his own election where Al Gore lost with a majority of the vote, perhaps Mr. Bush is completely ignorant to this anyways. What he means by a democratic transition is, America can finally have it's puppet in Cuba.

The real reason why America is so anti-Communism is not the threat it poses to American liberalism as fascist countries which could be seen to pose a simmilar threat have been supported by America, It's not because of the human rights abuses and it's not even because Americans just hate communism, it's becuase whereas other countries which act much in the same way as the likes of Cuba trade with America and allow their businesses in their countries, communist countries tend to go it alone. If Castro had only opened a McDonalds in Havana, the world would be a very different place.

The next few weeks looks to be a very interesting time in Cuba. Watch this space.

Local Fascist's Violent Past Update

After placing an appeal on my blog last night for more information on Clive Jefferson I received a couple of e-mails from locals who know a bit more about him. Clive worked as a bouncer in Workington and had a reputation as a thug. Apparently Jefferson was also well known in the area as a drug dealer but this was never confirmed. He was however convicted of driving under the influence of drugs, his drug of choice was apparently cocaine although on this particular occassion he had taken speed. This incident happened around 1999/2000 when he changed his name from Clive Aitken to Clive Jefferson, perhaps to escape the reputation that he had in the Workington area. This incident was also reported in the Whitehaven news.

The more serious incident of Clive being involved in driving a car at someone after an incident at the Forum nightclub in Workington was in fact true although he may not have been the driver, but he was involved. He managed to wriggle his way out by blaming the incident upon a young lad who served a custodial sentence as a result and allowing Clive to get away Scot free. This happened around 1992. Clive was always rumoured to carry a gun although my sources believe this to be untrue although you can grasp the type of bloke this is when rumours like this are circulating.

Local Fascist's Violent Past

Nick Griffin, the furher of the British Nazi Party announced in the July members bulletin "The BNP does not permit members or units to run websites or blogs which use the party name or logo in the title, or which otherwise give the impression of being official BNP operations". This means that if you're going to go ahead and do this anyways you'd better clear it with Adolf Griffin first and I'd suppose that he'd only grant this privilege to someone who's trustworthy and has a pretty clean past just like ex-con Martin Wingfield. Well it seems that local BNP blogger Clive Jefferson doesn't quite fit that bill.

Clive who was a BNP candidate in the May 3rd 2007 local elections, the BNP local organiser and a member of Nick Griffin's personal security team doesn't seem to have such a pristine past. Revelations of Clive's misdemeanors came out a couple of months ago with all the fracas between Nick Griffin and some of the senior membership. When Sadie Graham's house was broken into and her computers stolen, allegedly under the orders of Nick Griffin, a similar break in was allegedly ordered on Scottish organiser Kenny Smith's house. The person sent to do the Scottish break in was none other than Clive Jefferson along with another unknown male accomplice. Due to the incompetence of those involved the break in was a failure. News reaches me however that this is not the limits of Mr Jefferson's criminal past.

I have heard a few rumours in the past of Clive being involved in violent acts and assaults and that he has served time in prison for it although I knew little more about this. However, a local contact found out some of those details. At a nightclub a few years ago a man was assaulted. Clive then drove at the man and ran over him. I don't know the full details of this incident or the injuries sustained, I also am unable to comment on whether he was convicted of this crime although my source did assure me that he had been prosecuted for violence before.

Clive is also a liar. My first encounter with him was in September 2006 at a public meeting held in Maryport which I organised with Duncan Money in order to counter the lies the BNP had been spreading in the area. At the end there was a question and answer session where Mr. Jefferson went on some incoherent rant which he began with "I'm not a member of the BNP but". He has since denied this although I assure you, he was there.

It's obvious that such a violent and untrustworthy man should be exposed and perhaps the BNP should reconsider if they should allow such a liability to own a blog in their name nevermind hold such positions in the party.

Griffin's Brown Shirts Team Up With Brown's Blue Shirts

News is just coming in from today's coppers march through London. On their shameless attempt to do what they have stopped fellow workers from doing for as long as anyone can remember on the quietest march in living memory the bastards in blue seemed to make a new friend. Richard Barnbrook, given a semi-celebrity status from his appearances in gay porn and the 'remember Stalingrad' blog and also the BNP mayoral candidate for London showed up in his cheap turd brown suit. He walked at the very front of the march along with the rest of the governments front line against the enemies of Liberalism.

The politically correct PC's didn't bother telling Barnbrook he wasn't welcome, I think they showed what they really think today.

Because They're Not Allowed To Pick On Jews

The BNP rebels new site, The Voice Of Change, which seems a cheap knock off of the BNP's main site has an article about an anti-Islam group set up in Europe. The group is called Cities Against Islamisation which seems nothing more than a pressure group made up of far right party members from across Europe. The groups logo is a no entry road sign with a silhouette of mosque in the background. The VoC website say that the main campaign of the group is to stop councils from granting planning permission for mosques. They then go on to quote Filip Dewinter of the Belgian nationalist party Flemish Interest who claim not to be racist unless you're a Muslim.

"We are not opposed to freedom of religion but we don't want Muslims to impose their way of life and traditions over here because much of it is not compatible with our way of life...We can't accept headscarves in our schools, forced marriages and the ritual slaughter of animals."

So not being opposed to freedom of religion, in their eyes, means you can be opposed to people practicing Islam. Is it just me that doesn't get this? You have to wonder how simply building a church/mosque is imposing a way of life upon someone. Perhaps those sneaky devils in disguise at the EU have passed a law unnoticed saying that if a mosque is built nearby it means you have to attend whether you like it or not. They say they can't accept headscarves in schools, they don't say why but that's besides the point, if you stop Muslims wearing headscarves, why not stop Jews wearing a Yarmulke? But oh no, if they pick on the Jews everyone will think they're Nazis and they are of course a respectable political pressure group. The ritual slaughter of animals to make meats Halal, we can't have that, but that means we can't have Kosher food either, but oh no, don't pick on the Jews, we don't want to look like Nazis.

This type of logic is appearing throughout most of the European far right groups. In a bid to become respectable, they channel their hatred towards Muslims instead of Jews because it's more acceptable in the present light but the outcome would always be the same.

More BNP Sleaze

Nottinghamshire police late last month raided the home of Sadie Graham, an ex-BNP councillor and one of the lead protagonists in the recent split. Police were working on a tip off that her partner, Matt Single, was in possession of an illegal firearm. The police were unable to retrieve the alleged firearm although did seize what is believed to be an C S gas spray although Sadie says it to be a legal StoppaRed self defence spray.

A spokeswoman for Nottinghamshire Police said: "A 36-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of possessing a section five firearm after a firearms warrant was executed at an address on Church Lane in Brinsley on 20 December 2007. "

There is still an ongoing investigation by police into claims that Shadie Graham's computer was stolen by BNP members after a break in at her home triggering the split. Many accusations have come out about her as a result but everyone seems to be keeping shut about her past. Sadie has had a colourful political past in the anarchist scene, animal rights protester, AFA member and more recently high ranking fascist. Now I'm not suggesting she's some sort of agent but you really have to wonder how many people Searchlight have in the BNP?

BNP Show Us What They Really Mean

With the BNP abandoning the old skinhead image and the Rights For Whites marches and posing as a whiter than white (pun intended) respectable political party, you'd think that the last thing they'd want to do is associate themselves with some some nutcase hard line Nazis. Well, that's how normal people would think, but not a fascist.

Just over one year ago, the 20th of December 2006 to be exact, a Neo-Nazi rally took place in Moscow, Russia. The march has been held every year since 2005 to mark national unity day attracting far right groups and individuals from all over the west. One speaker included a Texan white power nutcase who was greeted by the crowd with a round of "White Power" chanted in English.

What does this all have to do with the BNP you may ask? I mean, these guys are British patriots, they have no interest in marching around some foreign country sieg heiling, Nazi saluting and shouting "Russia for the Russians". Well if that's what you think, then perhaps you should take a close look at the next couple of images where if you look closely, you can see what appears to be a BNP contingent.

Cameron On The NHS

One of the main news items today is David Cameron new proposal to tackle so called hospital "superbugs". Superbugs are a pretty recent revelation. No-one had heard of MRSA two years ago but they are a serious problem. What needs to be done is investigation into the bugs so we can find the best way to combat the problem. What the Tories think is a good idea, surprise surprise, is fine them, because I'm sure, if you take money away from already underfunded, struggling hospitals then of course it's going to decrease the number of infections [SIC].

News is coming out however that Cameron is just taking the idea of a bill already going before parliament proposed by a Labour MP. So if the Tories are stealing Labour ideas which are that shit, they might as well have been Tory ideas in the first place, what's the need in having a fucking parliament?

Cameron said in an interview that hospitals should be treated just like any other service which is rewarded for good service and punished for bad service. What he really meant is let's treat hospitals like a business in a free market economy. In West Cumbria we have one hospital. In Whitehaven, if that hospital closes, the closest one after that is around 45 miles away in Carlisle which would be overstretched as it is due to the amount of fallout from the patients missing a hospital. People in Egremont would have to travel almost 60 miles for a hospital. It's not the hospitals which would suffer as a result of this idea, but the patients and people in the nearby area. Reactionary Lab/Con policies could result in far more deaths than ever caused by superbugs.

Cameron, you rich bastard, you have no idea how to run the NHS or the country so leave it the fuck alone. I think Class War says it best.

Cringe worthy I know and I hope you all laughed as much as I did, but let's take a look at what Herr Griffin's said.

Let's start with "See that disused pithead? Crushed down below lie children of my family line, not yours". Now Mr. Griffin. I don't think that this is 100% the truth is it? Being a rich public school boy and country land owner, I seriously doubt a rich bastard like you has ever, ever had a family member down the pit. You rich cunt probably owned the pit. What about those German miners who mined copper and other metals in the lake district.

Secondly, "See that grey racing tide? It washes the bones of men who looked like me and mine, not you." I'm sure that the immigrant population of this land are eternally grateful that they don't look like an over fed, one eyed, pompous rich bastard. Nick must remember however, that Britain has at many times been home to those who look nothing like us. For example, the Romans around 2000 years ago were made up of men of all colours and nationalities. Also, historians have revealed that the real St George was more than likely born in what is now Turkey, and that his parents came from North Africa, thus meaning the patron Saint of England is in fact, a black man.

Thirdly, "See that stone list of names? The sons of this land who never came back - your family's not there." Remember the Polish that came and flew in the RAF against the Nazis? Does that mean that the Polish are welcome?

Well Mr Griffin, it was people like my ancestors that planted that oak tree on your ancestors land, I have relatives that fished that grey tide for a living, you don't, I did have grandparents down those pits you didn't, it was my family line that built those cities and country mansions for you and your ilk to live in,I do have my family name on the local cenotaph, they gave the greatest sacrifice fighting fascism, you may live in this land, but it was us built it,fed you and kept you whilst doing all the work and whilst you did nothing and don't you ever pretend otherwise. This country belongs to the working class, now fuck off.

Hate Crime or Wasting Police Time?

After flicking through issue 87 of the BNP rag, the Voice of Freedom, I noticed much to my surprise, an article about myself. The experience of finding articles about yourself in fringe political publications and websites really never gets old, especially when you're not expecting to see them.

It's about a blog post I did even longer ago about Andrew Spence, read it here, who had his farm ransacked and his tyres slashed in the run up to the Sedgefield bi-election in which he was the BNP candidate. The local BNP took offence to part of the post where I wrote "Don't let the fascists get their fuel by voting for the fuckers and if you see them out and about, give them a smack from me". All tongue in cheek stuff I'm sure you'll agree but even if you don't, what the hell you gonna do? You see, my site being hosted by blogger, is hosted in America and so is protected by the American constitution, just like Redwatch. I'll tell you what, I'll strike a deal with you nazi types, take down Redwatch and I'll have a serious think about taking down my blog, honest.

I liked the quote from Paul Stafford in the article, a local BNP member who said, "Some of our leafleters are senior citizens who go out on their own delivering leaflets and I was worried about their safety". Now the only senior citizens I see delivering leaflets for the BNP around my area are Clive Jefferson, Bill Pugh and Nigel Williamson and I'm sure that if they're acting as personal bodyguards to the leader of Britain's largest far right party, then they shouldn't have much to worry about from a lighthearted comment published on a teenagers blog. He also went on to say, "I went to my local police station and drew their attention to Wood's website. They said they would be taking the matter very seriously because it came under their 'hate crime' criteria". Funny, the police told me that they hadn't looked at my site and just advised me to watch the content of my blog in future. I've also heard off the record from a police officer not involved with this but on another matter that they are about sick of the BNP wasting police time.

Now have the BNP got nothing better to do than to waste police time and write complete none-stories about me in their glorified piece of bog roll of a newspaper?

Completely unrelated to this but my more dedicated readers will have noticed that I have changed my web address and could anyone who linked to me previously please make the appropriate changes and I'd be much obliged.

The Fash In Oxford

News is coming in of protesters rumoured to be mainly members of the SWP have broken through police lines at the Oxford Union and have occupied the debating table refusing to budge. This is great news and great action from the protesters. By allowing these cunts to speak at Oxford Union, it is legitimising their views. They shouldn't have been invited in the first place but seen as they have, show them what we think.

Wonder if the local BNP are getting paid to be Griffin's entourage down there or just the honour of being with the Fuhrer is enough as I noticed Nigel Williamson a local BNP member and child molester look alike along with Clive Jefferson, local idiot were present.

Shop Worker Abuse

Working in a shop I am very concerned about the level of violence against shop workers. Shop workers unlike most workers are extremely exposed to abuse and violence due to the nature of the work. In 2006 there were over 10,000 physical attacks on shop workers and 62,000 reported incidents of verbal abuse. This equates to around one attack every working minute every working day. This was a substantial reduction on the previous year when there were nearly 22,000 assaults and over 130,000 reports of abuse. This isn't good enough especially in an industry where the average wage is the legal minimum.

In my area we run what is called "shop watch". Shop watch is an agreement that the local shops all sign up to to bar trouble makers. The shops are issued with a card with photos of the banned persons with name, date of birth, reason for ban and when the ban is finished. The shop watch scheme is a good idea but is not entirely fool proof. A lot of the people on the list for giving abuse to shop workers and so telling them to leave because they are on shop watch often only antagonises them.

The vast majority of shop workers abused say that it was as a result of refusing to sell age restricted products such as alcohol and cigarettes to under 21's unwilling to produce proof of age. Only last week I was given a load of abuse from a drunken 16 year old who I refused to sell cigarettes to. The problem is that there are no repercussions on those trying to purchase alcohol underage although any shop workers who make the mistake of serving it to an under 18 can be landed with a £5000 fine.

I like everyone else drank underage and I don't believe that under 18's should be prosecuted as it's just part of growing up but something must be done to take the entirety of the blame out of the shop workers hands and protect them from abuse for doing their job.

Send Him Home, To Think Again

It seems like things are coming up trumps for an American business tycoon. Donald Trump, owner of a string of casinos and also CEO of an American based real estate developer and best known for being the star of the American version of The Apprentice wants to build a £1bn golf resort in Aberdeenshire. The proposals involve two championship golf courses, 950 holiday homes, 36 golf villas and 500 private homes. The local residents are understandably pissed off over this decision. Not only will these new houses be well out of the price range of the locals but it will drive the surrounding house prices up immensely making it difficult for the younger generation of locals to be able to live in the area where they grew up. The new resort is likely to put local traders out of business too. The plans will also have a massive effect on the local wildlife especially the migrating geese which feed in the area raising concerns from the RSPB.

Locals have held protests and campaigns and one local farmer has refused to sell his land. Trump replied to the farmer saying his land was a mess and he was just trying to hold out for a better price. Newsflash Trump you rich bastard, not everything revolves around money. To some people, personal morals, the respect of your piers and standing up to fuckers like you is worth more than it's weight in gold.

The council, realising it can line it's pocket nicely has approved the planning permission although is still being scrutinised by Scottish ministers. Local people have vowed to fight the plans to the very end.

Money talks but people can shout louder, let's hope that when the resort is finished the fightback won't end. Show the rich bastard what it means to be Scotland the brave with bricks, rocks, fire and brimstone. Give him hell and show him that him and his upper class resort isn't welcome in Scotland, time to send him home, to think again.
